CAKE IN SKILLET 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together 1/2 cup shortening, 1 cup sugar and 2 eggs well. Sift together 2 teaspoons baking powder, pinch of salt and the 2 cups flour. Add to shortening mixture a little at a time with the 1 cup of milk. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla last. Pour into skillet and bake. Bake at 375 degrees until done. Serve with chocolate sauce.

CHOCOLATE SAUCE:

2 sq. chocolate, unsweetened
2 c. milk
2/3 c. sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter (oleo)
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat chocolate and milk in double boiler. When chocolate is melted, beat with rotary egg beater until blended. Combine sugar, flour and salt, add gradually to chocolate mix. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Cook 5 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Add butter and vanilla. Makes 1 1/2 cups. Pour over cake.
