RAISIN POUND CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 3 c. all-purpose flour 3/4 c. Crisco 2 sticks butter 1/2 c. Pet milk 6 lg. eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 box Sunmaid Raisins First, I put box of raisins on to boil until they swell up and drain and cool. Before I put them into the mixture (last step), I put a little flour over the raisins. Cream sugar, Crisco and butter together. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well. Put vanilla into the cup of milk. Put baking powder into flour. Put flour and milk into mixture, alternating flour and milk until mixture is smooth. Next fold in raisins (which have been rolled in a little flour). Put into tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for about 2 hours. |
