FROSTING FOR SWEET POTATO CAKE | |
1 c. evaporated milk 1 c. granulated sugar 1 stick butter (1/4 lb.) 3 egg yolks 1 1/3 c. grated coconut 1 tsp. vanilla Combine milk, sugar, butter, egg yolks and vanilla in saucepan. Cook over medium heat about 12 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Remove from heat, add coconut and beat until cool and of spreading consistency. Frost top and between layers only. |
