3 tbsp. flour
1 c. + 3 tbsp. sugar
3 egg yolks
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. warm milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 egg whites

Mix all dry ingredients together. Heat milk and mix with dry ingredients. Stir in well beaten egg yolks. Cook about 5 minutes or until just thick. Add butter and vanilla. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar per egg white. As you fluff topping with hand mixer. Spread on top of pudding and brown in oven.
