QUICK AND EASY APPLE CRUMB CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. flour (may use self-rising and omit salt and baking powder)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 sm. egg
6 lg. tart apples (peeled and sliced)
1/3 c. melted butter

Sift together first 4 ingredients. Add egg (unbeaten) and mix well with fork until mixture is like coarse cornmeal.

Line bottom of pan with sliced apples. Sprinkle over all with flour mixture then drizzle over all with melted butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, using enough to lightly cover cake. 13x9x2 pan, 350 degrees, about 1 hour. 1/2 c. sugar

Sugar and cinnamon mix to be made and kept in closed container for future use.
