1 c. raisins
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot raisin water
1 c. raisins
3 1/2 c. flour

Cream shortening, sugar, egg, and molasses. Sift flour, soda, cinnamon, and salt; pour in 1 cup hot raisin water. Mix thoroughly, then add raisins. Put cookies onto a greased cookie sheet. Drop by teaspoon. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Frost with 4 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 tablespoon of milk, and 1/2 box of powered sugar. Red food coloring to make pink frosting.
