SAUERKRAUT DUMPLINGS 
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
2 eggs & milk to make 1 c.

Mix thoroughly and drop in boiling sauerkraut a tablespoon at a time. Put on a tight lid and steam for 12 minutes without removing lid, or they will drop. You can make cherry dumplings the same way only add 1/2 cup sugar.
