HOW TO PREPARE CABBAGE LEAVES
FOR USE AS WRAPPER
 
Some recipes assume you know how to prepare cabbage leaves for wrapping and/or stuffing. I hope my directions save you a lot of time and trouble!

Boil cabbage in salt water until outer leaves wilt. Remove leaves until you get to some hard leaves, Then boil again for easy removal of those leaves. Any leaves damaged during removal should be used to line the pot, or shredded for use as filling. Removed leaves should have hard stem part removed to make it easier to fold (leaving a V shaped area there) to make wrapping easier.
