CRUST FOR FRIED PIES 
5 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 lg. can evaporated milk
2 tsp. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg (beaten)

Roll out the size of a saucer. Fill 1/2 with sweetened dried or fresh fruit. Dot with butter. Fold other half over and crimp edges together.

Note: This crust freezes well.
