GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIES 
3 c. sugar
7 tbsp. baking cocoa
1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
2 unbaked 9" pie shells

Combine sugar and cocoa in bowl. Stir in evaporated milk, eggs, butter and vanilla; blend well. Stir in coconut and pecans. Turn into unbaked pie shells. Bake in 350 degree oven 40 minutes or until set around the edges. Cool on racks.

Makes 2 pies, 6 to 8 servings each.
