GERMAN SWEET CHOCOLATE PIE | |
1 pkg. Baker's German sweet chocolate 1/4 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/3 c. coconut (opt.) 1 1/3 c. chopped nuts (opt.) 1 2/3 c. evaporated milk 2 eggs 1/8 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. vanilla 1 (10") unbaked pie shell Melt chocolate with butter over low heat, stir until blended. Remove from heat. Gradually add milk. Mix sugar, starch and salt and beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in chocolate mixture. Pour in pie shell and sprinkle with coconut and/or nuts over top. Bake 45 minutes or until top is puffed. Cool at least 4 hours. |
