FRUIT SQUARES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. plain flour
2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 lb. chopped candied pineapple
1/2 lb. chopped candied cherries

Cream butter, add sugar and mix well. Add beaten eggs, vanilla, salt. Add flour slowly, then nuts, pineapple and cherries. Mix well and place in 8 x 12 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until done.
