HAM AND CABBAGE SOUP 
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. celery
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 c. hot water
1 bay leaf
2 c. shredded cabbage
2 c. diced cooked ham
3/4 c. sour cream

Cook onion and celery in butter until tender. Blend in flour, salt, pepper, and hot water. Add bay leaf; simmer and remove leaf. Add cabbage; stir in ham and cook 3-4 minutes. Blend in sour cream.
