SOUR CREAM COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour

Combine above ingredients with enough of the flour to make a soft dough; chill. When you roll these out, you will have to add more flour to make the dough stiffer. Don't roll real thin. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes; watch; don't overbake.
