2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs, or egg substitute
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped
1 qt. fresh strawberries, sliced

Spread half of the crushed vanilla wafers in bottom of 9"x9" pan. Cream butter, then add powdered sugar and eggs. Blend until smooth. Spread on top of wafers in pan.

Place strawberries on top of the creamed mixture. Sprinkle walnuts over the berries. Sprinkle remaining crushed wafers over the nuts and berries. Spread whipped cream on top. Chill overnight or equivalent hours. Serves 9.
