GREEN BEANS AMANDINE 
1 lb. green beans
2 tbsp. slivered almonds
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. lemon juice

Cut green beans French style. Slice end to end. Cook covered in a small amount of boiling water until crisp and tender, about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain. Meanwhile, in a saucepan cook slivered almonds in butter over low heat, stirring occasionally, until golden. Remove from heat; add lemon juice. Pour over beans. Serves 4.
