THE BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE 
3/4 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. water

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, vanilla and water; blend. Blend dry ingredients and add to wet; mix well without over mixing. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-40 minutes depending on pan size. Do not overbake.
