1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips
Nuts if desired

Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour batter into greased 13 x 9 pan. Mix cream cheese, egg, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add chips and nuts. Drop this mixture on top of cake batter. Cut into batter with swirling motion. don't mix to much or you will lose marble look. Bake as directed on package.
