QUEEN'S CHOCOLATE CAKE 
In large bowl, pour 1 3/4 cups boiling water over 1 cup uncooked Quaker oats. Let stand 10 minutes.

Then add: 1 c. granulated sugar 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 lg. eggs 1/2 stick butter (real butter) 2 sm. bags pecans 1 (12 oz.) bag Nestle's chocolate chips

Blend together well until the butter is melted. Add 1/2 (12 ounce) package Nestle's chocolate chips. Mix well; pour into buttered and floured 9 x 13 inch pan (one you can serve from). Sprinkle on top about 1 cup of chopped pecans and the remaining 1/2 package of chocolate chips. Bake 40 to 45 minutes in 350 degree oven.

I always measure the dry ingredients while I am waiting the 10 minutes on the oats. Be sure to scrape the bottom of the bowl when mixing because sometimes the oat mixture clings to it. I also chop the pecans before starting to make it.
