SPANISH RICE 
1 lg. onion, minced
1 lg. green pepper, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. can tomatoes, chopped up
1/2 c. uncooked rice
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. water

Crumble and fry ground beef until brown. Remove meat from pan and use drippings to lightly saute green pepper, onion and rice. Discard any remaining drippings. Add meat, green pepper, onion and rice to tomatoes in large kettle. Add all other ingredients; mix. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
