FRUIT COBBLER 
2 c. sugar
2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. milk
4 c. fruit (apples, cherries, peaches and blueberries work well)

For a less fruity cobbler one half the amount of fruit may be used. This recipe may also be made as a half batch.

In a 13x9 pan melt butter in preheated 350 degree oven. Mix flour, milk and sugar in a bowl. When butter is melted pour in flour mixture, then add fruit. Bake for 45 minutes.
