PUFFED PASTRY 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
1 tsp. almond extract
4 eggs

FROSTING:

3 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1-2 tsp. almond extract

Beat until smooth.

1st layer: Mix the first 3 ingredients like pie crust. Pat into 2 strips (3x12 inch) on an ungreased cookie sheet.

2nd layer: Bring water and butter to a boil, add almond and flour immediately. Beat with a fork until smooth. Add 4 eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Divide in half and spread evenly over each pastry. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. When cool, frost with frosting.
