MEAT BALL CASSEROLE 
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 clove garlic OR 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 egg
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. oregano
Pinch of sage
1 tsp. salt
Pepper, to taste
6 slices bacon, fried crisp AND crumbled
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 sm. can mushrooms
1/2 c. red wine

Mix together first 8 ingredients and shape into balls. Brown meat balls by placing them in flat pan in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Turn once. Make gravy of soup, mushrooms, and wine. Place meat balls in casserole. Pour gravy over them. Sprinkle bacon over top. Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Serve with rice or noodles.
