PUMPKIN POUND CAKE | |
1 c. Wesson oil 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. baking soda 4 eggs 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. plain flour (presifted) 2 c. cooked mashed pumpkin or canned Mix all ingredients in single bowl and bake in tube pan (greased and floured) at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cool and dribble the following sauce. SAUCE FOR PUMPKIN POUND CAKE: 1/3 c. butter 1 2/3 c. powdered sugar 2/3 tsp. vanilla Few drops milk or cream Melt butter. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and a few drops of milk to make thin enough to pour. |
