CABBAGE ROLLS | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 3 tbsp. finely chopped onion 1 1/2 c. cooked rice 1/8 tsp. pepper 8 lg. cabbage leaves 1/2 clove garlic 1 egg, beaten 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 can tomato sauce or beef consomme Boil cabbage leaves for 3 minutes then drain on paper towels. Combine beef, onion, garlic, egg and rice; mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Divide meat and roll in cabbage leaves. Place rolls close together in greased 8 inch shallow baking dish. Dot with butter (each roll). Pour consomme over rolls in pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. |
