PUMPKIN SQUARES 
1 pkg. Duncan Hines spice cake mix
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. Crisco oil
18 oz. can pumpkin pie filling
7 1/2 oz. env. whipped topping mix

Stir together cake mix, salt, baking soda and oil until blended. Spread evenly in 2 greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until crust is brown around edges. Meanwhile, prepare pie filling as directed on package. Pour over baked crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until center is firm. Cool. Prepare whipped topping mix as on package. Spread over pumpkin mixture. Store in refrigerator.
