1/2 c. Crisco
2 sq. chocolate
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped

Melt chocolate. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and remaining ingredients. Bake in a slow waffle iron but do not let brown. Top each waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, whip cream and a cherry.
