DUMP CAKE 
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, not drained
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 pkg. Duncan Hines white or yellow cake mix
1 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, cut into thin slices

Dump pineapple into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread evenly. Dump in pie filling and smooth evenly. Next, dump dry cake mix on top of the cherry layer and spread evenly. Spread pecans over cake mix. Place pats of butter over the top. Bake for 48 to 50 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Serve warm or cold.

SUGGESTION: When layering, spread a handful of coconut over the top, too. Makes it crunchier.
