CONGO BARS 
2/3 c. butter or Crisco
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 sm. pkg. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows

Mix sugar, shortening and eggs in a large bowl. Add baking powder and salt to flour. Add flour mixture to egg mixture. Add vanilla. chocolate chips, marshmallows and nuts. Spread into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven, shake powdered sugar on top and cut while still warm.
