CONGO BARS 
2/3 c. butter
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter in 2 quart kettle, add brown sugar. Cool a moment. Add the eggs one at a time stirring after each egg. Add flour, baking powder, salt and stir.

Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla. Press onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
