HOMEMADE WHITE BREAD | |
10 c. Robin Hood flour 2 tbsp. salt 5 tbsp. sugar 3 pkg. dry yeast 5 c. warm water 1/4 c. Crisco Mix yeast, water and Crisco. Add dry ingredients. Add more flour as needed. Let rise until double. Knead down. Put into pans (make sure you grease your pans and rub Crisco on your hands so the dough will also be greased on the outside). Let rise again. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown. Rub with butter as soon as you remove from oven. Note: You can let your dough rise 1 more time if need be. Makes 10 loaves (large ones). |
