CARAMEL CRUNCH APPLE PIE 
28 Kraft caramels
2 tbsp. water
4 c. sliced peeled apples
1 (9") unbaked pastry shell
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/3 c. butter

Melt caramels with water in double boiler or saucepan over low heat; stir occasionally until sauce is smooth. Layer apples and caramel sauce in pastry shell.

Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and nuts; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples. Bake on lowest rack at 375 degrees, 40-45 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
