1 yellow butter cake mix baked according to directions in 10 x 13 inch pan
1 med. can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 reg. pkg. instant vanilla pudding made according to directions
3 bananas
1 lg. container Cool Whip
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. shredded coconut

Poke holes in slightly cooled cake. Mix sugar and pineapple (with juice) in saucepan and boil for 5 minutes. Pour over cake and cool. Beat softened cream cheese and add pudding. Pour over pineapple. Slice 3 bananas and arrange on top of cheese-pudding mixture. Cover top of cake with Cool Whip. Sprinkle with pecans and coconut.
