APPLE TORTE CAKE 
Apples
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco oil
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
3/4 tsp. salt

Peel and slice apples to make 1 quart. Put apples in mixing bowl; add eggs. Stir with fork. Add sugar, Crisco oil and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Add to apple mixture. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13-inch cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
