MOM'S FRUIT CRISP 
TOPPING:

1 c. oatmeal, uncooked
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. melted butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Combine and set aside.

FILLING:

1/4 c. white sugar
2 tbsp. flour or cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. water (omit if fruit was frozen)
6 c. (6-8 med.) apples, peaches, rhubarb, or pears (peeled and sliced)

Use your own favorite combination. You can omit sugar if fruit was previously sweetened.

Combine the filling and toss fruit to coat it. Spoon into 8-inch square glass baking dish. Top with oat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until fruit is tender.
