CARAMEL BROWNIES 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. nuts
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 pkg. caramels, approx. 50
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Melt caramels in 1/3 cup canned milk over double boiler. Combine butter, cake mix, nuts, 1/3 cup canned milk. Mix until blended. Press 1/2 of batter into 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. When base is done, spiral caramel over base and spread chocolate chips on top. With teaspoon, spoon remaining batter on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes longer. Let cool.
