1 lg. onion, chopped 1/2 green pepper, chopped 1 clove fresh garlic, crushed or 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can whole or crushed tomatoes 1 tsp. Italian seasoning 1 1/2 c. elbow or Ziti pasta 1 (12 oz.) pkg. mixed vegetables 1 or 2 tbsp. sugar Salt & pepper to taste Cook onion, peppers and garlic. When almost done, then add ground beef and Italian seasoning. When meat is done, add tomatoes and a cup of water. Bring to a boil, then add pasta. When pasta is almost done add mixed vegetables, sugar, salt and pepper to taste. When all is done, put mixture in a large casserole dish, top with Mozzarella or shredded cheese and bake 5 to 10 minutes. |
