SCOTCH SHORTBREAD | |
1 c. sugar 3 cubes butter 3 tbsp. cornstarch 1 egg 3 3/4 c. flour Cream first 4 ingredients together. Gradually add flour. Use mixer to mix flour in. This will be stiff. Spread mixture onto cookie sheet, working in right up to the edges. Using fork make holes all over. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand for 5 minutes. Cut into 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch squares. Can sprinkle with a little sugar before baking. |
