SCOTCH SHORTBREAD | |
1 c. butter (butter doesn't work) 1/2 c. sugar 2 c. flour Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Stir in flour. Chill several hours. You can use cookie molds or roll the dough out to about 1/2 inch thick, then use a cookie cutter to make shapes you want. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 30 minutes in a 300 degree oven, oven needs to be preheated. Makes about 2 dozen. Cool slightly and remove to paper towels or paper bag to soak up excess oils. |
