ANISETTE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 lg. egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. anisette
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Soften butter and add the soda, anisette and salt. Mix. Blend in sugar, then egg. Sift the flour with cream of tartar and stir in. Drop batter by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 8 minutes. (Cookies should not brown.) Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
