1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 4 tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. peeled apples, chopped fine
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Mix all together and put in 9" pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees. Serve with either whipped cream, ice cream or caramel sauce.
