AUNT POLLY'S POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. Crisco (no substitute)
6 eggs
1 tsp. flavoring

Mix sugar and Crisco on medium heat. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour gradually and flavoring. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes, then at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Top will crack.
