AUNT EDNA'S POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 tbsp. Crisco
5 eggs, room temperature
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix butter, Crisco and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time (mix well). Add flour and milk alternately. Add baking powder and last cup of flour sifted 3 times. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes, starting in cold oven. Set temperature at 350 degrees AFTER cake is put in.

DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR until time is up. Use well-greased and floured tube cake pan.
