NANNIE'S CHICKEN ALA KING 
1 1/2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. thick cream
1 1/2 c. chopped mushrooms (canned do well in this dish)
4 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. pimiento
6 tbsp. chopped green pepper
4 1/2 tbsp. flour
2 c. chopped chicken

Make white sauce with butter, flour, milk and cream. Cook until thickened. Slowly add egg yolks, stirring after each addition. Add remaining ingredients and heat very slowly. I have used whole milk or even 2% and it is still quite good. Serve in puff pastry shells. Serves 6.
