NEW YEARS OR BRUNCH CASSEROLE 
8 slices day old bread
1 lb. sausage
4 eggs
2 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 can mushroom soup
1 sm. can mushrooms
8 oz. shredded cheese
3/4 tsp. dry mustard

Cube bread. Place in 3 quart casserole dish. Layer on top of bread - strained, browned sausage and cheese. Then add egg mixture (eggs, mustard, salt and milk). Pour over and mix 1 cup mushroom soup with 1/4 cup milk and mushrooms. Pour over top. Cover and sit overnight in refrigerator or 12 hours. Place covered in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until done in center. Serves 8 to 10.
