CHOW CHOW 
6 bell peppers
6 lg. onions
1 med. head cabbage
6 to 8 green tomatoes
Hot pepper to taste about a quart of ground up pepper
3 c. sugar
5 c. vinegar

Grind all ingredients and put in pan and sprinkle with salt about 1/4 cup. Put sugar, vinegar in mixture and bring to a boil. Cook 20 to 25 minutes. Pack in jars and seal.
