LARRY MANETTI'S OAK PARK RIBS 
4 to 6 lbs. spare ribs (approximately 1 pound per person)
1 bottle barbecue sauce
Dash dry mustard
Beer (enough to cover ribs)
Maple syrup (1 tbsp. per lb.)
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

Boil ribs in beer for about 10 minutes. Combine barbecue sauce, syrup, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Blend thoroughly. Baste ribs with sauce and broil or grill over hot coals. Heat remaining sauce and serve with ribs.
