1/2 c. butter
1 c. honey
1 c. applesauce
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Pinch of cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. seeded raisins
1/4 c. nut meats

1. Cream butter and honey. Add applesauce and beaten egg.

2. Sift flour with other dry ingredients; add raisins and nuts and add to first mixture.

3. Beat well and bake about 1 hour in a 350 degree oven.

Fresh apples finely chopped or dried or canned may be used.
