SPELL-BINDER COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. softened butter
1 c. quick rolled oats
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. salted Spanish peanuts
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. finely crushed cornflakes

ICING:

2 tbsp. butter
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine first 7 ingredients. Blend well. Stir in remaining 4 ingredients reserving 2 tablespoon crushed cornflakes. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. flatten slightly with bottom of glass dipped in remaining 2 tablespoon of cornflakes. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Prepare icing: melt butter, add sugar, hot water and vanilla. Beat to consistency of a glaze. Drizzle on cookies with a spoon.
