2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 c. walnuts
2 c. raisins
2 c. glazed fruit
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt

Boil together for 5 minutes. Let cool until just warm. Add 4 cups flour (Gold Medal) and 2 teaspoons baking soda. Do not use beater. Fold in. Bake in tube pan for 1 hour or until done, in 350 degree oven. Also good with just nuts and raisins.
